Why do they walk gamely, lamely to their slaughter every day? Why do they mutilate their children?
Why do they slaughter animals even when they don’t have to? Why the perpetual ugliness? Century upon century of massive, demonstrable, palpable cruelty. The unending failure to alleviate the massive planetary suffering.
Is this an incurable human condition? So damaged individually and culturally. So callous. Senseless.
And for what? The mute black insulating void in which we hang together forever.
Why not have mercy on the children and the animals? As gods, it’s the only thing we should do.
In thrall of emotionally crippled leaders forever. Masses against masses forever. At war forever. Eternal global bloodbath. Most of it avoidable.
